Pepperdine is much easier to get into than USC.

Let us examine the admissions "stats."

USC Avg SAT: 1370
Pepperdine Avg SAT: 1240

Students in top 10% of their graduating class?
USC 85%
Pepperdine 72%

You'll find out if you're in the running for admission once you get your SAT scores back. If your math and verbal scores are around the school's average you're in the mix. If they are significantly lower, you'll either want to retake them or look at other schools that are a bit less-competitive.

The SATs aren't the be-all-end-all of admissions, but they tend to be a decent predictor of where you may be successful in admissions.

It is tough to get into both of them, both great schools.
