I had them nesting in the walls once and Clark brought over Terro....its a clear liquid you squeeze onto the sill. They will come out in droves and carry it back to the nest......its quite interesting to watch as the entire colony practically comes out to retrieve it.........but then they all die......its very effective and only toxic to the ants.....kind of looks like corn syrup.

They carry it at Lowes, Home Depot or Wal Mart.....but you have to look close for it as its different from what you are used to. Think the label is orange!

I just received this tip about a week ago and I don't know if it works but give it a try. Use Aspartame the artificial sweetener in NutraSweet and Equal. Sprinkle contents of the packets where ever there are ants whether inside the house or outside. I hear it works wonders on all ants including Fire Ants! Good luck.

Try using using rubbing alcohol. I tried it many times over and it did not let me down. Trace the crevices where the ants come and go then put some rubbing alcohol. It is a lot safer, worry free, economical, readily available and environment friendly because it has no harsh chemical. Even a child can do it.

The white stuff sounds like eggs -- you would need to get a magnifying glass to check it out. The other thing it might be would be something like insulation or sawdust from chewing through a crack somewhere around your windowframe.

In either case, check out the links below, there are many, MANY hints there for how to stop ants -- maybe something from one of them will work for you -- good luck!!

Put Boric Acid Powder around the windows and where ever the ants may be getting in.

Pour some grits along the window base and let them take it back to the Queen. When she drinks she will explode and the ant colony dies.

cayenne pepper works wonders. Just pour an unbroken line in the sill and they'll stay out. You may also want to do this in your other windows, doors, and any other entrances.

Kerosine will work if you pour it on the colony. However, keep in mind it's VERY flammable, and I don't know your state's policies on hazardous material/flamable material... check it out before hand

Get a product called Terro. The ants eat it because it's sweet and they carry it back to the nest and feed it to the other ants. Then they all die. It works!

You need to kill the coloney outside your house, otherwise they will just find a new way to get in. Probably treat your whole yard.

Hi, I know they are frustrating, but relax, just pour plain, ground cinnamon wherever you see them and they will stay away. The little white things are eggs.
