The top-paid lawyer in the country would probably make more than the top-paid pharmacist. But lots of lawyers end up making very little, so the mean salary for pharmacists is probably higher. And job opportunities for pharmacists are much better than for lawyers.

A pharmacist will make more money than a lawyer.
Lawyers make a lot of money, true, but they also have a huge overhead; they have to pay court reporters (like me), experts, legal staff, filing fees, office space, yearly dues, etc., where a pharmacist has no overhead at all; his paycheck is pure profit.
BTW, I don't see how pharmacists cheat people -- some lawyers also cheat, but most do not.

using the rule of social contributions - a lawyer.
"The more someone contributes to the well being of society as a whole, the less they are likely to be paid."
That's why teachers and social workers make less than lawyers and CEOs.
Pharmacists at least help some people ease pain and suffering.
A pharmacist in an area where they help more people (IE, small town) will make less, but then, so will a lawyer.

Depends on what you do in each area. Public Defenders don't make a lot but a private practice lawyer would probably beat the pants off of any pharmacist.

It depends on what type of law you go into if you plan to work for
jobs such as non profits or working for a public defenders office usually do not make alot of money. If you go into the corp. world as a lawyer it depends how much experience you have etc.
If you want to make the big bucks as a lawyer make sure you go to a 1st tier lawschool and also make sure your at the very top of your class. Those usually at the middle of botton half of their class do not do too well. Also other thing is that you don't start making money until you start paying off your law school debts which usually is over $100k.
I should add that pharmacy schools is about the same as med. school or law school.
Like I said it depends into what type of pharmacy/law job you are going into.

Both jobs involve cheating people, but if that makes u happy, go for it and contribute to the madness of this world. I would say a lawyer, that is a good lawyer, makes more money.

In the U.S., pharmacists may start at 80,000 grand a year plus a company car. Lawyers are a gamble, as it depends on the number of clients and office/personnel fees.

Making money is an individual thing. There are starving people in both professions.
If I can read through your question, I would answer it this way for you. Do the thing that you enjoy doing. Do it for the reason that you are doing a great job because you like what you are doing. When you do that the money will always follow you. Do what you will for the love of it and you will never need for anything.
