Do movies have that much of an affect on people, or is it just simple something to do when you are bored, and nothing more?

I think that movies are inspirational in good ways and in bad. And they inspire people to be like the characters.That could change a persons life for better or worse.

Sure you never can tell what will change the way a person sees life after seeing a movie, hearing a song, reading a book...anything can change a persons out look even a mere movie...

There is always a possibility that a movie can change a person's life. Movies sometimes make things look a lot easier than they really are though.

I guess that it could depend on the story line and whether the movie was based on real people dealing with certain issues and sometimes overcoming them.
