I want to get some opinions on this. For me it's never enough...

Yeah, it would be sequential shifting motorcycle gears... I'll have to think about this re-gearing thing.

Many 4 passenger dune buggies were built with 60 hp vw motors. A 65 hp for a 2 person buggy should work.

Never too much.

It will be fast though.

are you using the stock motorcycle gearing?
(my opinion is that it's got way too high of a top end)
140 mph on a trail is a bad idea.

gear it down a little and it will rip the trails apart... probably pull wheelies too.

I was gonna use a 250 ninja motor in a go-kart.

a 600cc (i'm guessing that's what size you have) motor would own everything in it's path

How heavy is the buggy? Does the engine (motors are electric) have a built in transmission? What will the whole thing weight with passengers?
