I need to do this assignment and I am having trouble finding some sources to use. I searched in my school library and on google, yahoo, mama, etc and can not find nothing but unrelated topics. I also can not use Anwser.com or WIKIPEDIA for a sources. I was wondering if anyone can help me with some reliable information so I can use on my paper. Thank you for your help. [Assignment is stated below.]


Write a 700 -1050 word paper in APA format comparing and contrasting the role of religion in culture in the united stated and an Arab nation of your choice, such as Iraq ,Egypt, Saudi Arabia or Jordan. The paper must include at least two authoritative references outside of the text course.

Fourthly, what I would like to say is:
Religion influences any culture, only if the people implement, obey, follow and pratice it, which is not the case at all now a days. He is Christian, because the father is Christian, he is Hindu because his father is hindu, some Muslims are Muslims because their fathers are Muslims. E.g. Take Islam as an example. Islam is not just saying that my name is Muhammad or Ayesha and my father used to pray. It is something which is to be implemented and then to be followed. Religions penetrate into the traditions if they are followed. Take two examples, America and Saudi Arabia. America is a Christian country if I am not wrong. But do they practice Christianity?? According to Bible, you cannot rob, you cannot cheat, you cannot rape. But unfortunately, America is a country which has the highest number of crimes taking place. It has become their way of life, their culture, although the religion does not teach it. If you see Saudi Arabia, it is the country in which least number of crimes take place. Why?? Because they practice Islam. They just don't boast of being Muslims, they show it by their deeds. They have least number of rapes and robberies. Why?? Because they are practicing Islam so it has become their art of living, their culture. According to statistics, every 1.3 minutes, 1 case of rape is reported in America. Ya, religion may influence their life only if they practice it. There is another case, in which religious scriptures say something else, and the followers believe something else. For example, there is not a single unequivocal statement in the complete Bible where Jesus (pbuh), himself says that I am God or where he says worship me. But still the followers believe that he is God. According to the Bible, Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified, but the followers believe that he was. In Hinduism, idol worship is forbidden. Still Hindus worship idols. So in this case, religions may have an adverse effect over the culture because of false readings. In India, its common to marry the girls at the age of 6-14 and its their culture but I don’t think so that Hinduism teaches it. Religions become evil when they do not address the concerns of the masses.
These were few of the points which came in my mind. Sorry if while giving the reply, I criticised your religion as I don't know about your religion but whatever I have said, is based on truth.
I would like to suggest you that there should be authenticity in your essay. You should give the quotations with the author's name which are easily accesible in the internet. You can search. Whenever you say that this religion says this and this religion says that, you should also give the reference from the religious scriptures for authenticity. An essay, based on facts gives good impression to the examiner. You can analyse various scriptures, like the Glorious Quran, The Bible, the Vedas etc. and quote from their scriptures in support of your every claim. Try to get statistics and even use them in your thesis.

These journals are written and published by PhD students and other educated people. You will not get opinionated and frivolous articles like you would on an everyday search engine. I had to do a paper back in college where we were only allowed to use these journals and no other sources. If you can obtain access to them, they will help you write your paper. Do not forget to cite.
