Numbers are constantly adjusted, and no evidence is offered. That made available is photos of the same few corpses, posed with tons of different people.

Whats the deal.

Not 40 killed in that bombing that made news big time a few days ago, but only 1 says lebanon PM. Wow.

Yes, body count gets the uninformed on the "victems" side fast.

Body counts, especially immediately after the attacks, are usually estimates based on the number of people expected to be in the area at the time of the attack. As survivors are found and bodies are found, those numbers are adjusted up or down. The numbers aren't lies, they are just estimates based on educated guesses.

The same reason the government lies about everything else: Control. They want to control us. One of the easiest ways to control people is to keep them in the dark and ignorant of what's really going on. By controlling the flow of information...what we see (and don't see), what we hear (and don't hear), what we buy, what we think...they can more easily control the population. If people know the truth, they will start thinking about what it all means and would most likely be pretty pissed off and demand accountability. It's like Hitler said: "What good fortune for governments that the people don't think."
