It is simply too bad that someone in the United States should be punished for marijuana. There is simply no way that marijuana can possibly enhance one's performance in football. The NFL should be MUCH MUCH more concerned with the rampant use of undetectable steroids and human growth hormone throughout the league. A huge percentage of players abuse these drugs and beat the test. Professional bodybuilding actually had to make two leagues (one clean and one chemically enhanced) because the athletes could easily beat the tests. This has been documented. most recently, in Playboy magazine. I think that if Williams has a good time in the Canadian league then by all means he should stay there. For his own mental wellness and inner peace. If his contract even allows for it. I believe that he still owes the Dolphins alot of dough.

He had too many chances... he knew what he was doing was wrong... and yet he continued. The suspension was the right one.

Weed isn't the worst substance in the world but Ricky knew the consiquence if caught he paid the price. The second substance he knew too. He paid the price again. The NFL is like anything else...it has rules. You gotta follow if you're a part of it...or be better at not gettin caught.

It is true, the use of weed has never, reportedly, directly killed anybody, but the same could be said about steriods.

He'll be back in the League next year...he just needs to be smarter...like smoking in Canada...he could also go ride a motorcycle

In my humble opinion, discipline is as important as skill. Discipline wise, he is no Jerome Bettis. Skill wise he is no Barry Sanders. The NFLs lose, is really another headache for the CFL. Of course the 110 yard field is pretty cool, The Rocket (Raghib Ishmael) did pretty well there. It could be good for Williams too.

What kind of meds are you on?
He was good but never the best. And now he's in Canada completing his detention. He's DONE. Why throw any more money at such an *** as him? Why not just right a check to charity.

That guy's life has gone down hill. It's like the game of Nascar is to drive on the tracks but he keeps on driving off the tracks.
