Can you smell rain coming if you're in your house with the windows and doors shut & have no visual clues?

This is a serious question-I have an uncanny sense of smell (and hearing)..is there a medical reason for this? I'm wondering if anyone else is like this.

yeah, I can smell rain too; it's so nice and refreshing, but no, there's nothing wrong with you, it just means you have a heightened sense of smell and hearing which is a good thing

Don't know about a medical reason, some peoples sense of smell is just better then others. If the AC isn't on, then I normally can smell rain too, but if it's on then it masks the smell.

BTW- just went to my living room, it's going to rain within a half hour or so.. smells pretty strong today like rain.

I'm the same way, I can smell it coming even if hate house is closed up and my hearing is kind of scary too. People used to call me Dumbo cause I could hear people whispering in another room.

I can smell the rain coming, too. You're not the only one. My numbers also have corresponding colors. And I'm so not kidding.

I smell rain to my mom told me I was crazy and needed help at least now I know i'm not the only one.

It wouldn't surprise me if you could, if your sense of smell was very strong. I can smell rain coming, but only if I'm outside.

I can't, but I have heard some people say they smell rain coming. I can feel it in my wrist, though.

i think u can because air can still go throu the windows and u can always smell rain because it smells nice
