You've heard of mystery shoppers haven't you? Who go in stores to make sure the customers are being served right? Do we need mystery employees? To make sure employers are abiding by current guidelines? Especially regarding immature people who harass others and make thier jobs difficult for them?

Working at a hotel, we have lots of types of mystery shoppers, and in my opinion, it is great for quality control.

We have some who pose as guests and actually come and stay at the hotel, using various services that they rate the property on.

We have some who pose as potential clients who want to book a group, and they rate their sales manager on the sales process.

If your hotel as a whole fails a shop, it could cost money that you would be fined from the franchiese or owners.

If a sales manager fails a shop, you get coached or disciplined. Thank goodness I have never scored badly on a shop. I think that this process is a great learning experience and it keeps everyone on their toes since every client might be a mystery shopper.

Oh man... you have created such a good idea!!

maybe you could create a business around this. But wait... what company would want to hire this mystery employee?? hmm... they'd probably be too scared of what was found out about the company. also, companies tend to be VERY protective about their company structure and processes.

maybe, you could target existing employees to become a mystery employee??? and have that info published online or work alongside online job search engines and allow potential employees to read about the mystery employees' experiences!
