after the first burn - do NOT finialize the disk (some programs call it "closing" )
Best thing is to put all the songs into a folder until you have a complete group of songs, then burn them all at once.
note: a disk that is not 'finialized' will not play in a car or home player, only on the computer. After it is finialized it will play on any player.

there are assorted loose courses to burn CDs. WM would not do a "tremendous" interest of burning them or shifting to transportable gadgets like the SD card on my PDA. in my opinion, i take advantage of Nero 6. BTW, I wasted 1/2 a stack of Memorex DVD-Rs with the aid of producer's lack of high quality controls. They were no longer made by ability of Memorex, yet a subcontractor.

You'll need to create a multisession CD. Be aware though that if you are converting say your MP3's to CDA format (so you can play them on standard CD players), you can't create multisession CDs.
Also a CD-R is write once and hence although you may set it to use multi-session, you cannot erase the data once it has reached its physical limt e.g. 700MB
I'm not sure what burning software you are using but Nero is well supported and known - http://www.nero.com/

You can't -- a CD-R disc has to be burned "all at once". CD's aren't like floppy disks -- you can't add/delete files at different times. However, if you use a CD-RW disk with a program like Ahead, you can use it like a floppy disk.

You need a program and a cd burner (mulitsession) that allows you to add files later, otherwise, you'll have to wait and burn them at the same time.

Make a playlist in your library and wait til you have enough to fill one disc. OR..... select leave session open on the filters before you burn the initial track.

You can only write to a CD-R one time. You write everything you want on it at that time. If you want to do it your way, you need a CD-RW disk. Then you can add to it until it gets full.
