Are the STL Cardinals in the Wild Card Race this year? it doesnt say they are on stlcardinals.com--but i think they are....are they?.......thanks!....answer me....i chose best answer!

The STL Cardinals are leading there division...so they don't need to be in the Wild Card race, if they are win there division then they will make it to the playoffs.....the first place wild card team for the NL is the Reds, and the reds are in the Cards division...even if the Reds pass up the Cards, the cards will still be in the lead for the wildcard....thus (THEY WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR)

They'd be in the Wild Card race if they weren't in first place in their division. They curently lead the Reds by 3 1/2 games, but they start a four game serious with the Reds today. Depending on what happnen's the next 4 days will determine if they are in wild card race or not.
