My favorite place to go is my home! But as for a trip, I would not be able to pick just one as I've been many places that I thought were great. I especially enjoyed Louisiana, Upper Michigan, Canada, and my home state of Tennessee.

Turkey. The people were really nice to me and my son. All my friend's relatives wanted us to spend time with them so they could cook for us. They even came and pick up our dirty clothes, washed it and bring it back. His brother even let him use his vehicle to take us around. You don't see the people fighting with each other. If they bump into each other, it's not a big deal. We would have had to pay for hotel and his brother's family let us stay at their home near the black sea and they stayed in the village. We had the house all to ourselves. It was great to wake up in the morning, look out the back and see all the mountains and then go to the front on the terrace and look over the black sea. At night, the sea breeze just blows right through the house and you sleep like a baby. I just felt a peace of mind while I was there. We are looking forward to visiting again.

Mackinac Island, Michigan -- it's like going back in time. They don't allow motor vehicles on the island, so you either walk, ride a bike, or ride in a carriage! If you've ever seen the movie "Somewhere in Time" with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve, the movie was shot on location at Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel, overlooking Lake Huron.
If you like fudge, there is a fudge shop on nearly every corner! They have a Lilac Festival in early June every year. It is gorgeous up there in June and July!

Lake Cushman, Washington is my favorite place. I went there quite a bit as a kid, as my grandparents own a cabin there, and even as a teenager I'd drive up there for some peace and quiet, many times just by myself. It's right at the foot of the great Olympic Mountains, and it's a pretty peaceful place. I love it!!

Dear Minnie,
I took a trip to Europe when I was four or five years old. As a result, I don't remember anything, hardly. I remember going to Austria, though. That's a great place.
