Good alternatives from Sawyer. And s/he's using a good resource.
Do you know that high b.p. can be associated with kidney disease, stress or pain? And that it will almost always go up temporarily after drinking caffeine or alcohol? It sometimes is caused by food allergies, too.
TEAS to substitute for caffeinated drinks, which will have a calming effect: Lemon Balm, Chamomile, Linden Flower or Nettles.
To lower b.p., make a tea with equal parts of Hawthorn (leaves & flowers), Mistletoe (whole plant) and Linden flowers (aka Lime flowers). Use 2 teaspoons of this mix to each cup boiling water. Steep 5 to 10 minutes; strain. Take 1 cup 2-3x daily.
Nettles tea, as strong as desired, removes cholesterol deposits from arterial walls, increasing their elasticity.
Garlic dilates blood vessels. Take juice from one Garlic corm pressed through a juicer, morning & evening. Or take 2 to 3 garlic capsules at night.
Motherwort capsules, 500 mg., 3x daily.
Herbs, Etc. brand tincture called "HB Pressure" is very effective. Instructions on labe for 150 lb. adult - adjust dosage as required.
Where high b.p. is due to water retention or faulty kidney function, add Dandelion Root tea to any of the above treatments. Roasted Dandelion Root is a good substitute for coffee and can be mixed with coffee during the habit-breaking process. It is a natural diuretic that is high in potassium.
Supplements: Inositol, zinc, Vitamin C, Vit. B-6, Vit. E (start w/ 200 i.u., gradually increase to 400 i.u.), Magnesium 300 mg., Choline.
Avoid herbal products with Licorice Root (except as DGL). If you are pregnant or have other health considerations, please research these recommended alternatives before using them.

Essential Fatty Acids/Omega 3 Fish Oil. However, if you also have high cholesterol, then take Flaxseed Oil, instead.
Garlic casules are effective at lowering cholesterol.
L-Arganine (an amino acid) lowers both cholesterol & blood pressure.
Cayenne pepper helps lower it.
Avoid salt in your diet.
Eliminate soda while increasing your fiber intake.
Drink more water & switch to soy milk.
Cut back on the red meats while adding more whole grains, fresh fruits & veggies.
Consider buying a juicer. Beet, carrot, celery, currant, cranberry, citrus fruit, parsley, spinach & watermelon juices are excellent.
Consider losing some weight.
Get regular, light to moderate exercise.
Get sufficient sleep.
Avoid antihistimines.
Avoid artificial sweetners containing aspartame.

1. exercise (30-45min a day of intense cardiovascular)
2. lower salt intake - that means no salt on ANYTHING, and use a salt substitute in your cooking.
3. low fat diet
4. stress reduction
I assume you don't want medication but if your blood pressure is above 140/90 you should talk to your doctor about medication.
If you have risk factors like kidney disease, diabetes, or heart disease, then the recommendations say you should be below 130/80. And anyone who is 121-139 is considered "pre-hypertensive" and should already be doing the things mentioned above: diet, exercise.
