It sued the NFL over antitrust issues and won, but the judge awarded only $3 in punitive damages ( that the league was sorely hoping for) and the money lost on fighting the case caused the USFL to not have enough money to help teams meet their payroll, therefore they folded.

they went out of business, then sued the NFL for some stupid reason, saying the NFL was anticompetitive or some BS

the USFL won, but won damages in the amount of $1 because the jury said the NFL had an "unintentional monopoly"

players from the USFL either went to the NFL or stayed home after that

there were only six usfl teams left for the lawsuit against the NFL. the rest were bankrupt by then. The jury awarded Trump, owner of the new Jersey generals, and the idiots $1. It was tripled because an antitrust law. and no the check was never cashed.

they only won $3.76 from the NFL in a lawsuit. Say goodbye USFL to the glamour days only shared by the WLAF!

Just one in the long line of Donald Trump bankruptcies. After three years the league bellied up and Trump sued the NFL. Settlement $3.76 but Trump walked away with millions.

They sort of died after their monopoly lawsuit against the NFL got them only $3.76.
