Who are these "people"? No, that was not the intention of lowering taxes, it was to boost the economy and it has worked.

Not sure what you mean by "American products"? I drive a Toyota that was built in Tennesse. Is that an American product? 90% of the items at Walmart are made outside of the U.S, are they American products?
Taxes aren't lowered or raised to get folks to buy American products. They are lowered by Republicans in an election year and raised by Democrats when they think no one is looking.
Changes in the economy in regard to saving vs. spending are determined by interest rates set by the Federal Reserve Bank. If the Fed wants consumers to spend more money it lowers interest rates. If the Fed wants consumers to save their money it raises interest rates.
The U.S. is part of the global economy and for Americans that means that most new jobs will be in service industries, not manufacturing.

Because the American population is VERY short sighted. We already have virtually no tax base in this country - as most of our manufacturing jobs have already been sent overseas. We just want the cheapest product TODAY, rather than see what will happen in a few short years.
Succinctly, most Americans are immediate gratification idiots. How do you think companies like Wal Mart have prospered? Offer a low price, and don't tell the public about paying substandard wages, and no benefits. Why should they care?

Because I think after all that has happened since September 11, 2001, Americans have seen the light! Our dumb behinds didn't see it after the Vietnam War and all the other previous wars before those. Now if we don't spend our money on American products hopefully when this crap ever get finalized, then we might as well have been blind as bats! Meaning we get what we deserve. Now wake up America and smell the damn coffee!

They don't think that. They think they will spend it on products in general. It doesn't matter if it's American products or not. This isn't 1985, it's a global economy now.

We spend it in America. It puts more money into the local economy. It also increases tax revenues which brings down the national debt. It's been proven time and time again. So that is why I think that.

Strange as it may seem Reagan proved it and as you have seen with President Bush cutting taxes it has also worked for him
seems More money encourages people to expand and grow

Because as long as it's purchased from an American store Americans will profit from it.

Even if the product wasn't made in America, distributors and retailers will still benefit.

what American products? Thanks to "free trade" there are no more American products. When jobs left Mexico because their wages were to high, I knew the world was in trouble.
