not sure about on line learning though I did latin at school and its very similar learning english, there are many different endings to the same word to denote the tense and describing the person.
the sentance structure can be quite strange to grasp but as long as you don't think how it would be written in english but how and who it is relating to you should be fine

I took 3 years of HS Latin and received nothing less than an A every quarter.
It's confusing at the beginning to say the least, and it gets harder as you progress in studying it, but generally speaking, it isn't very hard to learn, especially since you probably won't have to learn to speak it like most other languages taught in HS.
I didn't have any help in learning it, and most people won't need help on the HS level, but if you do need help, it's better to get it from a tutor, since mouth-to-ear is the best way for us to learn language, as evidenced by children learning 2nd or 3rd languages from their parents and siblings when they are very young.

It's not so much a language that you can converse in in the sense that we converse in English. To me, this makes it easier to learn than other languages. Medical dictionaries are a great source for learning Latin.

check your local college they usually have it really cheap or free, also try your local community centre for info.
or get some friends, get a teacher and share the bill.
Otherwise, get some mates together and ask ur teacher for extra help, or tell him or her to start a latin club.
Also visit latin places, you'll pick alot up by listening and tune into latin radio stations.

I took 2 years of latin in high school--it was hard, it's mainly memorization. once you get past the basics, it's not so bad. I can still decline nouns and conjugate verbs with the best of them :)

It isn't hard. Just get a tutor. Learn the 8 cases, learn vocabulary, learn grammar, and you're all set. Really easy.
