Kids typically wear them and they are thick, not thin. I think they shrink as you wear them and when they get wet.... It may have to do with boating or something

Thanks for trying, but it is not a friendship bracelet, it is made of much thicker material and it is not colorful. It looks more like a rope bracelet than a friendship bracelet. I appreciate your help but it doesn't seem like anyone knows what I am trying to describe....
