I'm thinking "Puff the Bearded Dragon".

Bearded Dragons like to have something to climb on (Branches, small log, rocks, etc) so they can bask in the warmth of the "sun" (heat lamp, etc). You'll need a special warming lamp for this. Also, a place where he can hide if he wants, a water dish, hot rock, and I'd also suggest you go to the pet store and buy some special substrate (sand) for the bottom of his tank...it has beneficial minerals in it that he'll pick up as he is snapping away at the crickets you feed him. Ask you pet shop guy about this stuff...he'll let you know what all you will need to keep him happy and healthy. Beware...bearded dragons are like bottomless pits...keep a supply of crickets or meal worms around! But don't overfeed him. I also recommend buying a book about how to care for your new pet. There are several good ones available, and most all pet shops carry them.

My daughter-in-law named hers Tai Chi. When she first got her 4 yrs ago, she was doing this 'thing' with her front legs that made her look like she was performing tai-chi.. thus, her name.

A fully grown bearded dragon should have at least a 40-gallon tank. Make sure you have a good substrate, but be careful of sand... some can harm them inside. Speak to someone at your local pet store (like Petsmart) about the best substrate. My daughter-in-law sometimes uses rabbit food (pellets) as substrate, as Tai Chi eats on that in addition to her normal diet.

Do make sure you have the proper heat lamp. My daughter-in-law not only has a heat lamp (aimed at the branches and log Tai Chi lays on) but also a UV lamp (i.e. a small suntan lamp).

As mentioned, they will need branches and/or small logs to climb on, lay on, and/or hide under.

When taken care of properly, bearded dragons can live in captivity for as many as10 years (from birth).

i named mine peewee. ask the place where u got him from about what he'll need. it can get pricey, though. one word of advice, don't try to cut corners when it comes to reptiles, remember we must try to replicate their natural environments as closely as possible or they will die since they're not meant for captivity.
