Put up a Hummingbird feeder and make sure there are trees around your house, especially ones that grow flowers. We have had a feeder out every summer for the past several years and every year they come back and we always see a new baby one come to the feeder. We are up to about 5 of them now! I would wait until next spring to put up the feeder though because you are supposed to take the feeders down around the middle of August so they aren't tempted to stay longer instead of flying south. (If you live in the south then you should be able to put them up anytime.) Next spring put up a feeder and wait and see if any come. Be patient. I hope you will be able to enjoy seeing the little hummingbirds soon:)

It is NOT easy.... I have tried at the different homes that I have lived. I did put out ample humming bird feeders and had trees in the yard where they could build their TINY nests and do not know if they actually did because the tree branches are thick and their nests are very very tiny. Thus.. get the feeders out there.. some place for them to drink and then hope that they will nest in your trees.

Make sure you have plenty of trumpet vines, honeysuckles, and plants to provide plenty of shade in the hot times of the year. And put out a hummingbird feeder.
