We will always talk about him because he is not afraid to step out of mainstream, take some risks, look a little goofy at times. By doing these things, he doesn't become such a stand-off-ish movie star and seems more like a normal person. Plus, he is forever taking roles that showcase different personalities, which allow him to change his look. Any man that can wear spectators one year and then play pretened with some soon to be orphans and THEN have dreadlocks the next is totally HOT to most women. Women also like a man who sticks around - he has been with the same woman (and had two children with her) for quite a few years. Sorry Michael, I don't think you're going to get them to quit anytime soon.

No, i love johnny depp. He is a great actor, plus he is really hot, etc...
But i have to say, last night i rented Libertine, and to be honest, it wasn't one of his best.
Anyway, i will never get sick of hearing about or seeing Johnny Depp.

Sure you hear a lot about Johnny Depp lately because Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was just released, I'm sure once the Pirates hype dies down you won't hear as much about him. Personally I don't mind hearing his name all the time.

I'm with you. He's overrated. Don't get me wrong, he chooses interesting movies and does a good job for the most part...And he knows how to rock the eyeliner way better than any man I know. He's not as drool-worthy as everyone thinks though. He's too skinny and effeminate. I'd much prefer if everyone were drooling over Clive Owen. Now HE'S someone whose name I wouldn't mind hearing about more. :)

I got sick of Depp when he spouted off about how he hated America and wouldn't raise his children here. He doesn't seem to hate us enough to give back the money he gets from American box office revenues.

No. I liked SOME of his movies, like Dead Man and The Libertine.
He risks overusing his name, but then again, Hollywood names and fame are a bit beneath my attention span so I don't get sick of hearing them. They are just background noise to me.
