The nice thing about Yahoo Answers is that you can not only see what sort of questions a person asks, but how they chose a Best Answer. If they are trying to get an exchange of ideas going, that's fine, no matter their bias. If they always choose a sycophant, then I give a short and sometime sarcastic answer. If they have a challenging question, I will put some effort into a response.

Bias should be well-concealed, but then again I think a lot of the biased questions on here are not meant so much for learning or persuasion as they are for venting.
They're not trying to convince anyone to change their thinking, they just want to let the world know they hate liberals, conservatives, Bush, minorities, Americans, etc.

Complete concealment of bias results in an objective question rather than the biased question you are attempting to pass as unbiased.

All questions are biased. The question you are asking is biased. It may not be from a political party stance or a religious stance, but there's a slant to it. All questions are asked from a point of view therefore it's bias.

Exactly! I mean c'mon people. God exists if you want him to, Israel is the victim, Global Warming is a bunch of hype, Bush is NOT the worst president, and we should intervene in the world's affairs when its necessary.
If you're going to make a statement, do it!!
To add to John's statement: "It's the world we live in. Compassion, concern for the feelings of others, and "love thy neighbor" all went out of style in the 50's."
And so did Jim Crow laws! ha ha ha :)

Some do it to rile people up. Some do it because they are looking for someone to agree with them. Some do it simply because they are ignorant.
