If blacks start using a racist word against whites then what better are they than the racist white that use racist words against the black, not much. Sure the black went through very rough times than most races in that time, but if the blacks start using derogatory words against whites then that shows that they wasted years for justice by stooping to their level and show that their no better than them.

I think the media pushes that way too much. They have the RIGHT to vote for who they want. sadly it doesn't matter either way. its just like two mapquest directions to the same place. these people are selected to be elected. obama was a great pick. got a LOT done. What is the problem with this race bating??? I could say (my opinion) most people are NOT racist. just another "football issue" instead of focusing on REAL issues. People think America is a democracy, it is not! it was SUPPOSED to be a Republic. Checks and balances. Barrack Obama is considered to be the president who has written more "Executive Orders that any other president. An executive order is an order or command issued by the head of the executive twig at some level of government. yes it is true all presidents have used them, but they are NOT being used what they were meant for. Executive orders are never to bypass congress in law making.

Common sense would say No, of course,we should respect each other,,blah, blah. But black peolple have reallly been victims of racism for centuries, isn't it? So it's at least understandable that they still feel a bit sensitive about this matter, and now they can show it; same problem whit women: even if femminism has gone a long way now, still some of them keep on seeing males as unsensitive pigs. That's simply means that some of them(******* and chicks) still suffer inferiority complex. If you feel outraged means you also feel the same ! That's exactly what we( whites and males) should be eager to feel for our bloody superiority imposed for thousands of years upon the weaker part of humanity: So be patient, we are still trying to come out of all this ****,for some of us (black or white, male or female or gay) the job is over, for someone else it will take longer.Anyway it's proper to let them know that's not the right way to behave, because racism is defenitely a bad thing that needs to be overcome. Love and peace to you all !!

No, i am black and i don't think that any race group should put down anyone one else based on color. even though on new shows they do seem to make remarks about whites, almost like how whites used to make comments about other people on old movies by saying the N word.
In my ever day life my friends and I joke around but never in a serious tone.

No, it is reverse discrimination, but in this country that seems to be allowed.TRy to have a White Entertainment Television, a White miss America pageant, or Ivory magazine and see what happens.

No, it is not okay. However, those TV shows you mentioned were all created by white people. White people decided that it was okay to do this for comedy because it made them money. It's all about the money, baby.

I think the same rules ought to apply both ways - if one community isn't allowed to use derogatory or insulting language, then neither should the other - regardless of race, religion, whatever... Besides, it's seldom funny or relevant!

I think that it's wrong. All racism is wrong, we shouldn't be judging/saying things about people cuz of their race/ skin color. It's truly about the man/woman on the inside. I'm mixed with white and black and it hurts me to see my races say racial/hateful things about each other.

There is a double-standard, but it's not unlimited. You probably remember the flack Jesse Jackson took when he referred to New York as "hymie town."

Nope. It's reverse discrimination. Just like affirmative action. Maybe if I give them 40 acres and a mule they'll let me insult them as they insult me.
