Buy a dog or cat! They will do a fair job of chasing them off. Also, clear the backyard area as much as possible of places where they can hide.

Since your part of Texas is overrun with reptiles, you'll have to figure out by trial and error which method will work best for you. I've heard that pets do make a difference...also I've heard stories of people using things like cayenne powder, etc., or planting smelly herbs to help discourage them...but as long as there are bugs, the lizards will follow. Good Luck.

Lizards do not hand out on my back yard furniture because I moved it away from the bbq. The lizards are attacked to insects that they eat for food and not to lounge on the lounge (heh heh sorry but my wife said that to me a while back after I moved everything.) My bbq was causing some insects to swarm in hopes of getting on food but now we are very careful with meat juices spilling. If you get rid of the food supply that lizards eat then the lizards will relocate to your neighbors. Mix Tabasco sauce with water and dump the solution into a spray bottle. Walk the perimeter of the house again and spray them with the sauce. The lizards hate this and tend to not come back to the exact location where it happened. Spray remaining lizards in the yard with cold water. Not only does the water make it more difficult for them to get their grip, it also makes them much slower because of the cold temperature. Then you can catch them and throw them over the fence. My last solution is to spray outside with poisons to kill insects. With the other measures you have taken, these lizards should not come back.

Lizards are your friends. They will eat crickets and other insects and they will leave you alone. I have several that hang around my yard and I'm glad they do. However if you see the GEICO Gecko, smash the annoying little bugger.

Be thankful you have them or you'd have much more spiders than you do presently. I have never been bit by a lizard, but I have been bit by a spider and they can do a lot more damage.

Leave them alone. They don't hurt anyone but all the bugs that would otherwise eat all your plants.
