Train. It will take you straight into downtown with practically no delays. And you can connect with all of the other trains to get to ANY part of the city you want. You can even connect to get from one airport (O'hare) to the other (Midway) with one train change.

Take the El. Always take the el. Traffic into downtown is a 45-minute (if you're lucky) nightmare

Definitely the (Blue line) train - check transitchicago.com for the stop closet to where you're staying.

Train,unless you are renting a car(its more convenient to get it from the airport)
