Saz 17 . Condo Rice and George Wya continue to support the racist and apartheid policy of Israel against people of Arabic decent (ie Christian and Muslim Palestinians , Christian and Muslim Lebanese).

To the outside world Condo rice is seen merely as George Wya's "Ethnic Puppet" , an attempt at window dressing.

Until we have people in power have true respect for Humanity in all its variety throughout the world The USA can not achieve respect for peoples of all ethnic origin within it's own borders.

Respect for people of ethnic minority origin only occurs when it is politically expedient for the leadership to "appear" to be welcoming in a climate of equality and harmony.

In response to the Republican campaign of spooking The USA into exaggerating the terrorist threat (and now making that threat more likely) the incidence of ethnic profiling of 100's of thousands of ethnic Americans of Middle Eastern and Muslim European descent/origins has begun in earnest.

Many arrests have been made on innocent people solely on the basis of their ethnicity. Even on the day that I write this an airliner flying from England to The USA was ordered to turn back and return to London because a passenger's name resembles that of someone on an FBI "suspect list".

It appears that The USA has emerged (1 1/2 centuries ago) from abolishing slavery to a new danger, databases of racial and religious profiling which in itself is the greatest threat to the freedoms and harmony of ALL american citizens. Just because YOU are not profiled today, it does not mean that you won't be tomorrow.

I am reminded of the racial/religious profiling of Jews in Nazi Germany in the 1930's and the campaign against them which led eventually to genocide, of the former Apartheid system in South Africa and the indignity that Palestinians are suffering today.

We must learn from mistakes in history and not repeat them.

No I don't think that racism is "over" , I believe that it has merely shifted somewhat from victims of one race to another.

God bless and I trust that America's youth may in turn provide some hope for the future.

if racism in America is dead then how come black people only do well in predominantly black schools and colleges? See what happened in New Orleans when the floods destroyed lives and homes. How quickly did Condoleeza's boss, Bush, send in the troops?

Racism isn't even on the decline, never mind dead.

It's just as bad in the UK. Recently an ex-police officer has confessed to knowing that the father of key suspect in the racist murder of teenager Stephen Lawrence, allegedly gave money to a senior officer who was involved in the investigation.

Nelson Mandela was not wrong when he said that "black life is cheap" in the UK!

You must be young. Just this weekend a friend and I were at a wedding. He's black and I'm white. He's dressed really sharp in a very nice suit. He got asked so many times by white people if he worked there. Keep in mind that he was dressed in a full on pin striped suit with silver shirt and silver tie and the actually employees wore black pants, white shirt, and a vest. He looked nothing like the rest of them, but he kept getting asked if he worked there.

At work I was talking to a fellow employee and he was talking about his old job of being in construction and how he didn't get paid by this one guy because his last name was some Jewish name. I forget the last name he used, but I didn't get it, so I was like, what does that mean. And he looks at me and says "Because he's Jewish. Those people don't like to give out their money and will always try to talk their way out of paying."

It's still here, it's just not worn on shirts or expressed on bumper stickers. It's all kept under wraps.

Also I think Oprah is the most powerful woman in the world. Rice is a lap dog. She does what she's told, not what she wants to.

Oprah is more powerful that Condoleeza. Nobody likes Condoleeza every one likes Oprah. Middle america loves Oprah
but the love of a black woman stays with oprah doesnt mean that just cos everyone loves Mohammed Ali or Will Smith that they are going to invite Henry from the job into their home.
Besides why dont you try asking BLACK people what THEY think of her...you will be suprised by their response

Racism is never over, at all times there are people who are rude and discriminatory towards other races...of course government cannot be racist or sexist any more because of all the laws and consequences...America is a multi-race society now anyway and nobody's stopping it from becoming so, so I say yes!

Her supposed expertise is Sovietology. That kind of means she isn't really up to date. I remember an interview with retiring Senator Fritz Hollings where he referred to her as a "cipher." The woman took the place of Colin Powell with the expressed purpose of doing Bush's bidding. His brand of diplomacy is one of convenience. Those countries that have self respect are allergic to such treatment. She is likely to disappear once Bush leaves office.

A woman with no home, no husband, no children , no future, What kind of power does she have. Wait until she turns 80 and demented and has no family to even visit her in the old people's home where she is sure to end, then we 'll know if she is powerful or not.
Her priorities are all wrong, I DON'T ENVY HER!

When Maggie Thatcher, the 'iron lady' was in power, did women suddenly achieve equal status with men? Did crimes of violence against women and children suddenly stop?
