Ronald Reagan hated the government, and encouraged others to do so as well ("Government isn't the solution to our problems; government is the problem"). It worked so well that inbred nutjobs like Tim McVeigh decided to take Reaganism to its logical conclusion.
Don't hate the government - FIX IT!
Start by registering to vote - you can do it online, just type in "voter registration" and your state.

Why would one hate the government? The government is in place to keep the country running. Laws are in place to help keep order. We may not agree with all the laws but they are there for a reason and in being citizens of this country we must abide by them.
And in response to Neddie's response hate is NOT a Republican word. I'm a Republican and proud of it and I don't hate people at all.

Hello dear!
Well, governments are to secure the interests of the rich and strong! They collect taxes and distributed to all, but mainly to the rich, that is how rich get richer and strong sustain their power!
Also, since governments are placed by the few, when the many discover a way to promote their interests, the governments play their role to suppress and direct the results!

All humans "hate" governments because that is all that binds us to our place in the social setup. We all want to rule the world and that is impossible so government was invented to keep everyone in their place.
Mankind's Golden Age was just before the discovery of agriculture and farming which created surplus which is what all the killing and dying is about. Right up to this day!

Yeah those laws and taxes sure get me steamed because anarchy works so much better.
I don't think I could roll my eyes far enough to express my contempt for 'anarchists'
