I lived in a Mobile home in a Mobile home park. (they are not trailers anymore).
Because:
a. Mobile homes now have to meet certain standards and codes just as any home. (older "trailers" are not allowed)
b. Mobile home designs are very nice and built like a pre-fab home.
c. Mobile home parks come with many ammenites like a pool, security, family centers and well groomed grounds.
Mobile homes are an excellent way of purchasing your own land. Move your home right to it and build later if one so wishes.
yes--Mobile homes can make dreams come true--the one big one is owning ones own home and land.

We lived in a mobile home park several years ago and NO I was not at all embarrassed. The park was clean, well maintained, shady, and very pretty. My husband and I were hard working people and chose the mobile home because it was convenient, had lots of storage areas, was comfortable and fit our needs. I would never be embarrassed to live in a mobile home. Some of them are huge and beautiful. It's not the "trailer trash" mentality if you are a good person, work hard, and keep your environment neat and clean.

I have never lived in a trailer park, but I did live in a mobile home. I wasn't ashamed. It was a stepping stone to get to a better place. I don't think people should feel embarrassed because of where they live.

I've never lived in a trailer park but I don't think you should feel embarrassed if you do. I know in society we are all divided into classes and groups depending on our wealth. It is unfair because sometimes we have no control over that. But just remember "class" can't ever be bought. Look at Paris Hilton for example.

Nope. Not at all.
Actually, it's an RV Park. A rather nice one at that. Some of the RV's are half a million or more. Mine is a $30k fifth wheel, but ... can you do this with YOUR home? I can hitch up and leave anytime I want!!

I've never lived in one, but you just do the best you can with what money you have.
I'm sure the people living there would live in a house if they could afford it.
