If you can give the sofa away ( since you were going to anyway) without wallowing through all past misdeeds suffered, or without expecting a pat on the back, then by all means give her the sofa. If not, give it to someone else. Food for thought: In your efforts to espouse a more Christian mind-set, consider the gift Jesus gave...redemption, salvation and forgiveness for everyone who would accept it, up to and including the very people who nailed him to a cross. How's this sofa situation look to you now?

Hey look Christians are not supposed to be push overs, looks like you just need to stay clear of this chic once & for all. relativley speaking I don't think you ought to give her the sofa. She dosent deserve it, why dont you give to somone more in need of it!

You sound like you're just a tad too sweet. She lied for what I assume was no good reason other than to be mean. You have every right to tell her no, and I encourage you to do so. Just because you're a christian doesn't mean you can't stand up for yourself like that.

You said she 'wants' it. How about giving it to someone who really NEEDS it. Like a shelter for battered women. Or Habitiat for Humanity. Or any place that gives the disadvantaged a helping hand.

Put the sofa to the curb, and her as well. It would seem turning the other CHEEK,,, no pun intended,,, hasn't been very effective. I suspect you will be forgiven by the only one who counts.

I would tell her since she disrespected the friendship that I feel uncomfrotable giving it to her. Or you could just say you found someone who needed it more, like an underpriveleged family...

As a christian u should forgive wat she has done but i wouldn't suggest giving her the sofa... it would seem like u are being too nice and she will take advantage of that...

Well, tell her how you feel. You don't have to like someone to do something for them. Perhaps she didn't know she was hurting your feelings
