I'm just interested in personal experiences and not just the run of the mill advice given by breeders on the net to sell their critters :).

Sugar gliders can make wonderful pets for some people. They're not like most animals. They require a special diet, a large cage, etc. They can form a strong bond with the main care taker. I have 2 gliders and they're just amazing. One of them doesn't bite me at all. The other bites but its not bad. She's just going through a biting phase as all gliders go through. They (mine) wake up at 10 pm or sometimes around midnight. I stay up with them until 1 in the morning on weekdays and 2 on weekends. Mine are very playful. They like to chase feathers very much like a cat and they like to jump back and forth to me.

If you are seriously considering getting a glider you should join GliderCENTRAL. Its a wonderful community of sugar glider owners and if you have anymore questions or such you could ask them.
