I told my crazy sister not to put her pic on a certain website(ppl rate u on a scale of 1-10).........but she did it anyway... after 1367 votes her average score came out to 7.4..now she's not happy...i told her b happy that...but she's not happy...everyone but here seems to think she's so pretty, now she's done this and everyday her confidence diminishes a little bit more...what could i tell her that would make her feel better...after 1367 rates, would be happy w/ a 7.4 average? how can she b confident in her own skin and body?

she just has to luv herself and start excepting herself for who she is..there's nothing u can say or do...she needs to work on little things she can improve.........start going for walks working out, it'll make her feel better!!

If she needs that many people's approval, then nothing you can say or do will make her happy. She is obviously unhappy with herself and looking for somebody else to fill the role of confidence for her. It doesn't work that way.
You could make some fake id's and vote her a 10 just to cheer her up, which would only make her more dependent on others opinions.
Or you could talk to her about WHY she is so unhappy with herself. Take a girls day out. Go shopping, get makeovers, hair, nails, whatever works for you. The bonding time might make her more comfortable to open up and talk about what the real problem is. If it's just what people say that get her down, she'll get over it with time and support from friends and family. If she's unhappy with herself on the inside and wants to make up for it with outer beauty, get her to talk to a professional, clergy, parent, etc... to make sure she isn't depressed or something more serious.
I'd be happy with a 7.4 if I cared, which I don't. 7.4 is better than "average". No one is a perfect 10. Tell her the rating is a compliment. People think she is very pretty. Then ask why she cares what a bunch of strangers think.

First off, there are people who boost their own rating, and lower the ratings of others. Therefore, the opinions of certain 'raters' cannot be trusted since they are only trying to benefit themselves. Secondly, even the hottest of the hottest could have a low rating. She has to realize that only those who she knows and trusts can really judge her, or (sadly enough) rate her.

Well that's a good score.
However everyone has his own taste. Even if you ask for votes for Ms. Universe, i am pretty sure she won't get 10 even if she was chosen Ms. Universe.
We can't control other people but we can certainly control ourselves.
Best way is to look into a mirror. It never lies.

If she is putting her picture on the internet for others to rate her, then she is looking for approval more than what's around her. I don't know if there is anything you can do since she is seeking the approval of total strangers. Just be wary of any strange men that tell her what she wants to here and then uses her.

She needs to be happy with what she thinks of herself and not how others "rate" her. If she is happy and comfortable with what she looks like then that is how it should be. What others think is a judgement and that isn't fair.
