Congratulations! I personally like Ava. However, it is becoming quite a popular name, in our area anyway. I live in a small Midwest town of only 4500 people and know of 2 foreign adopted infants named Ava plus several birth infants with that name. I would go with Hattie if you'd like to be unique.
Perhaps it is just a typo on your part, but I do believe it is spelled Guatemala not Guatemale. I have several friends who have adopted babies outside of the US and they all have expressed their desire to keep a part of their baby's heritage intact. They all are a wealth of knowledge of their baby's birth country so they will be prepared when their child is older and begins to question where he/she is from.
