No idea, actually. I'm talking to this kid via email, trying to convince him to not kill himself, and like...I dunno, I guess I kinda feel like we all have an obligation to one another, and that of some kid got that low, then it's someone's responability to try and pull him out best they can. Afterall, life is great if you give it a chance..And other ppl's suffering can always be partially blamed on others...So I think society should take an interest b/c if your not apart of the solution, then your part of the problem. In short, I guess we're all responsible for one another's well being. On a personal level, I feel like I've done something good if I make a positive impact on someone else, so I guess on some level I do get something out of it. I get a greater sense of self-worth and all that crap.

When I don't, I feel bad inside. It stays on my mind and my heart. I don't like pain and I don't want to cause any. I believe my moral compass was shaped by the lessons I learned in Sunday School and even in the classroom when I was growing up. There were positive messages posted on all school bulletin boards in the rooms and hallways way back then that promoted good moral behavior. I'm glad I was taught that. When I treat others the way I want to be treated or even more so, the needle in my heart hits full. Recognition is not required.

I try to be kind to the other person for a few reasons but not to get something in return..don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with a little brown nosing with the boss here and there but overall, that is definitely not me...
My reasons to be kind are...It is how I was raised, it is how I would want to be treated, and it just feels morally right. HOWEVER, if I get crossed in a bad way, I immediately defend myself. I am also that way when it comes to family, friends, and sometimes even people I don't know. (I was not raised to be as defensive as I am) but it's just in me...maybe it's the Aries.... :)
And above all, being kind to animals...speak for those that can't speak for themselves.

I behave myself because it just feels right and lets me sleep well knowing I am not consciously going out there and making other people miserable for no good reason.
I am kind to others because I was raised to be empathetic, and because I hope to be treated well. But I don't expect anything for my kindness, except maybe hope for a smile and a thanks. But, if I don't "get" those, it's still ok. I just want to be the best person I can be.

No act of kindness should come with strings attached (i.e. expecting to get something in return) otherwise it is not a true act of charity or kindness (in my opinion).
The desire to help a friend or family member should be sincere and come from the heart....the only thing you should seek to get out of it is the good feeling that comes from lending a hand where and when it is needed.

I'm kind because I'm a kind person.
I treat others as I would want to be treated.

I TRY TO BEHAVE MYSELF & BE KIND TO OTHERS FOR 2 REASONS - 1ST BECAUSE THATS THE WAY MY PARENTS TAUGHT ME & SECONDLY BECAUSE I NOW HAVE CHILDREN & AM THEIR MAIN ROLE MODEL - YOU HAVE TO LEAD BY EXAMPLE.

there is no wrong or right...merely consequences...good people are good because they fear the consequences of evil.
