You can not use two mice on one computer when if you have a ps2 Y splitter. If you have a usb mouse and a ps2 one then they will both work simultaneously.

Yes, you can use two different mice on the same computer, but not at the same time. If you want to use two different ones (one at the PC desk and one at the recliner) I assume you have a laptop. May I suggest you get a cordless, wireless optical mouse, with a reciever. Much easier to use than PS/2 mouse and you can take it anywhere with no wires.
Plus you have to routinely clean the PS/2 mouse every so often so it doesn't go bad, and you have to use a mouse pad, with a wireless, cordless optical mouse, you can just use a hardback book and it will work.

I have five devices hooked up, and used, concurrently!

Libraries use theis to make one Linux workstation serve up to 6 persons at a single time, because Linux is a multi-user, multi-tasking, con-current multi-processing system!!!

Any Linux User Group http://lugww.counter.li.org would be able to show and tell how to do this, and there is a company that makes them and markets them, also! http://userful.com

Everything the previous answer said is true, except you can actually use two mouses at once if you want.
