With utter chaos and so much money circulated from Y2K, what can I do for round two? (My toaster still acts up on me from the "bug")

The adage that I fall back on when I ponder vexing questions such as this:

"There are very few personal problems that can't be solved by a suitable application of high explosives."

the funny thing is that they never really fixed the Y2K bug.
What was done, with a lot of systems, was an if statement was just added to the code. I think the magic number is 53. would look something like this:
if (year <= 53)
{
century = 20;
}
else
{
century = 19;
}

so basically we will have a Y2.53K coming up before Y3K.

for y3k you don't have to worry about anything. everything was converted to 4 digit dates due to all the media hyper around y2k. what you DO have to worry about is y10k, when another digit is added to the year and we will have been running 8000 years of 4-digit coded dates.
