Open the front panel of your desktop. If you pull the side cover off, you will see plastic or metal clips that hold the face, remove it and examine the switch. Sometimes they move from the button. If the plastic piece is broken, try to crazy glue it or figure out a way to rig it up.

either it is loose inside the case, or you have unplugged the power cord from the back of the computer. You could also have a bad outlet on the wall. Unplug the power cable and reconnect it. Also if you have a surge protector, it might have tripped the fuse. reset it. Good luck.

You can open the case and see if you spot a loose wire at the switch or something, but odds are you will need to have a professional look at it.
