There seems to be a lot of negative sentiment.

Whatever your opinion, could you please go on to answer the following.

1) What do you think the most difficult aspect of teaching would be?

2) What is the most important thing that kids should learn at school?

3) Have you considered being a teacher? Why or why not.

Any further insight would be much appreciated, I am currently studying to be a teacher.

I'm a teacher. The most difficult aspect is the parents. You always have to be professional; they don't. You always have to do what's best for their kids; they don't. You always have to listen to them; they don't have to listen to you. They have unreasonable expectations for what you can or should do for their kid who is one out of twenty or thirty you have. They also rarely have a realistic picture of who their kid is when he/she is in school, and don't want to hear about anything they might have to do to help. Either the teacher should fix the problem, or the teacher IS the problem.

Second biggest difficulty is that it is not humanly possible to do the job the way it should be done or the way you are expected to do it. There is simply too much to it.

2. READING. Everything else comes from that. These days it is also social - getting along in a community. Kids don't come to school knowing how to do that anymore.

3. Considered it, am doing it, don't know how much longer I can handle it. Spouse did it for 15 years and burned out.

1.) The most difficult aspect of teaching is the amount of time and effort put into teaching for which you will not be paid. A second difficult aspect of teaching is the utter lack of respect teachers receive from parents and the media.

2.) The most important thing students need to learn at school is how to comprehend and synthesize what they read.

3.) Yes, I am a teacher! I have been teaching 5th grade in Denver, CO for the past 7 years. I have a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in ESL. I love teaching in spite of all the negative sentiment.

Most teachers do not go into the field of education for the money, glory, and fame.

1. the most difficult aspect of teaching is communicating with parents because so many of them do not speak English, are not available for phone conferences or school conferences, give the school the wrong phone number or use caller id to screen calls from the school and do not answer(actually had a parent who told the answerer to hang up...it is the school calling...that was after I asked to speak to her to tell her that her son was being taken to the hospital unconscious) and various other reasons. And God bless the parents who call the school and speak with the teacher and come to conferences and meetings and workshops.
2. respect for self and others, responsibility for self and behavior including work
3. yes

in my opinion the funnier the better-it feels like u can open up to them.
1-one thing that ive always heard is the fact that its the lowest paying job requiring a degree
2-social skills are very important and music classes should still be taught because things u learn in music class relate to other subjects as well-different music from different countries, learning to count beats, etc.
3-i did consider it because i liked kids but a few years later my younger siblings decreased my liking of them.
-kids love games and watching movies. say ur learning about china, show the king and i, other things like that.
also as i said above, kids love funny teachers. i did have one teacher who would always poke fun at everybody. he stressed though that if any of it made u uncomfortable that u should tell him and he'll stop. it was all good natured though.
