Becarful who you meet in chatrooms, they lie about who and what they are, their age, they tell you they're single and most aren't. They pray on the lonely and tell you things you want to hear and then try to scam you out of your money..(almost happened to a friend of mine), It's all a computer game to them. Grant it...some get lucky and meet the man of their dreams but that's just a few. Is there a chance the two of you will be together someday? If not you need to move on and stop hurting yourself. If so good luck.

My wife did exactly that (we were in Yahoo! 30's love), and we have been married for three GREAT years.
Rules:
(1) Always tell the truth.
(2) Exchange recent photos. He goes first.
(3) Make sure you are compatible in areas of religion, politics, sex, family, children, money and substance habits.
(4) Have him come visit YOUR hometown first. He stays in a hotel, and the first time you meet a trusted friend or family member is with you.
(5) If you can't hold off on the bedroom until marriage, at least make sure you have seen where he lives first.
(6) Don't accept a marriage proposal until you have visited where he lives and met at least three members of his family.

You can't fall in love with someone you've never met. This so called guy in a chatroom could be anyone pretending to be just who you are looking for.
Grow up!

Why would you fall in love with someone online? You've never actually met this person, and there are a lot of people who are adept at acting completly differently online then they do in real life.

Your gonna have to get over it because the guy could be pretending to be some one else, and if you go to meet him, he could be like some killer......never trust on line dating.

Uh... I've never understood this. You really can't do that. I mean.. please... how old are you? I recommend looking around your state for someone else. Ridiculous. I'm seventeen and I wouldn't do that. My ex, however, has done that several times.

You would have to move to his state, or have him move to you. Otherwise, it's just a cyber thing..not a real thing.
