I would probably try E-Bay. A lot of the time they have cute backpacks that you can bid on and buy. I'd also consider going to Mervyns or even Costco. I know that Costco generally has backpacks at lower prices than normal department stores and they ahve a pretty large selection. Good luck on the search for a new backpack.

K-mart has a better variety of backpacks that are better than Wal*mart. Also, a webstite that sells adorable backpacks will be put in below. Maybe you could get a tote instead. Hollister has cute ones.

I got most of my backpacks at Sports Authority or department stores like JCPenney or Hechts. They usually have good selection and reasonable prices for back-to-school shoppers.
