Not really, but I have some excellent articles when I researched this topic a while ago (due to recurring low back pain). I had met with various type Doctors, PT's, etc. and it was extremely knowlegeable. I will say this, not all magnets are equal (polarity and design matter greatly). What would you like to know???

You should definitely check out quackwatch, cited above.

But you don't have to be much of a scientist to ask yourself: What in the world are small magnets supposed to do to the human body? In general, non-metalic subtances are NOT magnetic. Unless you're using huge Tesla coils, you cannot generate a field that will in any way affect humans.

An MRI is basically a huge electromagnet that generates a field so strong that metals cannot even be in adjoining rooms. But MRIs are used every day without any effects on the health of the patients, the machine operators or anyone else.

And consider this - James Randi will pay a million dollars to anyone who can demonstrate that magnets cure anything. Winning his challenge would certainly be great publicity. But the companies that sell these magnets have never submitted themselves to his challenge. They know that the cures they are selling do not work.

Do not spend your money on nonsense.

This isn't perhaps the answer you are looking for. But if you are looking for a REAL cure that is alternative, easy to understand and cheap, then you should look no further than "Your Body's Many Cries for Water: A Revolutionary Natural Way to Prevent Illness and Restore Good Health" by Dr F Batmanghelidj.

Lots of references to be found HERE: http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/QA/magnet.html

Ignore the watercure quackery recommended above. Completely bogus, also.
