Have you considered leaving (or left) California becuase of the high cost of housing?

If so where did you go and do you have any regrets?

I did, and retired in Oklahoma. No regrets.

They all came here to Phoenix, AZ. But it is like Silicon Valley Part 2, so that might explain it. The migration also explains why this was the hottest (or maybe second to Vegas?) housing market last year (+37%)

yes - regregtful... we lived in Marin County and worked in San Francisco... moved back to Boston in 2002. Better solution would be to find a better/cheaper place to live and spend less.....
