We have to say it with votes people so PLEASE get out and vote the next election. Don't let the Voter ID Bill keep you away. There are other proofs of identification that is acceptable other than a driver's license. I am in the State of Georgia and did an absentee vote a few weeks ago. No problems at all. And I didn't even need a valid reason for voting absentee. I got the ballot in the mail from my county registrar's office and mailed it back in. We have to wake up in this country and take it back from the screwballs currently in Washington that have done NOTHING for our country that has been beneficial except to help the very wealthy. I'm not against wealth but when you "rob from the poor to give to the rich", I have a problem with that. I don't mean to sound like a politician and believe it or not, I don't claim to be Democrat or Republican. We Americans don't need to be spoon fed anymore and start thinking for ourselves instead of being told what to think.

I didn't say the rich got rich from stealing from the poor. I was using that statement as a metaphor. As I stated, I have nothing against wealth. But if we don't vote, we don't get counted at all. No matter what the turnout will be. Almost 3/4 of this country is unhappy with this Administration. Now is the time to get serious and start doing your homework on future candidates locally and nationally. Whether you vote Republican, Democrat, or Independent.

Amen sister, I'm with you. I voted against him last time but sadly there are still too many people with blinders on. Americans are being controlled. The big companies like oil and pharmaceuticals get even richer while the poor or average Americans get poorer. That is the Republican way. People really need to wake up! If we want change, it is up to us Americans to make the change. We can't be divided on this. We have to stand together. If you think these politicians are actually working for us, then you're either born yesterday or just plain stupid. They're all in it for themselves. Money speaks volumes. Remember the phrase "We, the People". It is time to make our elected officials work for us! It is time we hold them to the constitution for which our forefathers have fought so hard for.

Well I for one is sick of the current administration. These people is only after for number one, saying the hell with anyone else and Americans should not tolerate that! With that being said, how can things get better when people don't take voting as serious as they done in the past. So many have gotten lazy just like our dumb president, we only get what we are putting out (or lackof). I can only hope in the next election we will have some good potential canditates that actually gives a damn about this country and its citizens. Maybe then people will wise up and believe voting definitely counts, because it is basically in our hands whoever will run this country.

you have to realize that you are only getting one side of the story on this administration i'll bet you have no idea about all the good things bush and this admin has done. like being the only admin that had given the most to fund green energy. how about all the tax cuts for seniors, child protection laws and many, many more if you care to find out about them. all anyone wants to do is bash bush, point the finger of blame at one person and common sense should tell you there is no ONE person to blame. the war...well the dem's voted for that one too and consider this the intelligence that was gathered on the 9/11 terrorists was done during the clinton admin. i agree we all need to vote and i also agree we all need to start thinking for ourselves but that means we also have to start being honest not honest the way we see it but honest in the way it is and bottom line bush is not to blame for all the ills of this country, not even close. there is a long line of presidents, congress and state reps. that should bear that burden and include political spin doctors but those that should bear the most blame, those who are ultimately responsible for the mess this country is in is US, you and me and everyone else. Cause if we don't vote and we don't find the truth and only believe what we hear on CNN, FOX , etc. or hear cindy sheehan or micheal moore or bill oreilly or anyone else who has an agenda spew then we are guiltiy of being lazy and not caring enough about our own country to stand up and do something about it. i for one am sick and tired of people bashing bush because quite frankly isn't it just the easiest thing to do? he available, he's hated by the majority of the media and he's a great scapegoat....and isn't easier to just sit back and complain and say he's the problem or the rep's or the dem's are the problem rather than do something about it ourselves...it sickens me that the majority of the american people are so lazy they won't find out the truths and sit back and let others decide what and who to vote for or just stick with the same party because their granddaddy did or their parents did....its just downright shameful the way we america's give away our rights and privileges without so much as a whimper then piss and moan cause things aren't going right....damn it people wake up from this complacency !

Most people are sensing the incompetence of the present government in most things they do. The problem is that people don't care about political discourse any more. I just read a survey result on yahoo that points out that half of American population still believe now that Iraq had Chemical and Biological weapons right before the invasion! The problem is with the American people. We got no one else to blame since Bush is democratically elected in the first place and given a second term too. We got to live with that and try to vote smarter and let our voice be heard.

Its hard to have faith in a system that doesn't work. A simple google search will reveal that the current president didn't win the election of 2000 or 2004 and if we use the same voting system we used the last two times we will see similar occurrances (a 900 % difference between the number of black votes ''lost'' and white votes ''lost''). In any case local elections should be more difficult to fudge but on a national level, so far, we're screwed.

There will be no change. It doesn't matter whether Bush is president, or Hillary Clinton, or Pogo the Possum. The real leaders of this country are the oil companies, the insurance companies and the drug companies. They have bought up every politician in congress and the senate, as well as the president, the vice president and most governors as well. The last politicians to buck these industries were the Kennedy brothers, John and Bobby. Look what happened to them.

I agree 100%, but unfortunatly people don't realize what kind of an impact can be made with only a little bit of effort. Bush only has 2 more years then we will be onto better times. I hate Bush and everything his administration stands for. There is no reason for our economy to be this poor. it is such a shame that the people who work very hard in this society do it only to be able to survive, because that is all they can afford. I would impeach him in a heartbeat!!!

Your voting rant assumes that votes against this administration will all be counted. Guess you don't know about Diebold voting machines. Guess you didn't notice what happened in Florida and Ohio. Guess you're living in the past when this was a democracy.

But I'll still vote. Just for old times' sake.

Well said, and yes we need to throw out the current Congress AND Administration. They are a do nothing bunch of greedy, self-palm greasers. It remains to be seen if future generations will EVER be able to untangle the social, economic and foreign policy mess these idiots have created. Anyone now sticking to the Neocon line seems like a chicken running around with it's head cut off. Baaaaaawwwwwwwwwwk!! Baaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwkkkk!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you worry about me, I'm voting. I voted against Bush last two presidential elections but I think he had other ideas about letting the American people choose. This time, maybe we can get a more honest election. And this time, maybe the people will actually have a vote that matters.
