I know myspace.com is supposed to be a great site but I don't think I like it... I setup a quick account last week just to browse what was in my area and see what the buzz was all about, but I think it sucks! I can't getanyone to respond to any mail or invites I send them & I cant chat with anyone. Any advice on how to make it better.

I agree. If you first fine some friends that you actually know. and maybe search your high school. You can begin networking from there. It's a great site if you are not too pushy and trying to be friends with alot of people who dont know you. Also, setting up your page with a pic and background goes a long way! Good luck

The brilliance of myspace is customizing, and somewhat networking. Customizing your page so that it fits your style is something you can take good pride in, especially if you go to great lengths to do so. Check out some layout pages ( i recommend freeweblayouts.net myself) find some music to put on there, meet some people, and see what you think.

Oh Yeah! You have to give it a chance and get really involved on your site...because I know when people invite me...if there is nothing on their site i will just skip over their invite. After a while you just get addictied...it also helps if you have frineds on there. Anything else just IM me.

No It sucks and has no monitoring or filth and underaged kids. I added some old "friends" from high school and they were too snobby to respond. I canceled my account.

some times you just have to wait because people don't check their website everyday. make sure you don't have innapropriate things on your myspace and be sure to tell all of your friends to join as well. it's a great way to reconnect with people from your past.

wait a while, like a month, also alot of people dont accept friends that they have never met before... you need to ask people you know... or atleast have seen before...
i used to have myspace, but i thought it was soooo boring! ugh! i hated it! it just black mailed me... after a while i just stopped going on it, i only went on like once a month (if that)!

just add folks you went to school with...
myspace has become a major part of how all my old classmates keep in touch over the miles...
i have lots of friends...but none of them are just 'people' they are people i know in real life!

well change your background, rep where u stay, and now a days people don't really check their e-mails and those e-mail are probably in their bulk.
