Popularity breeds contempt. I dont like all forms of envy.
I try so hard to act like a freak, a mental freak..I dont want my friends to envy me, because I dont want them to talk about me behind my back. But then again it happens.
Even your most successful friend would envy you just because of your intellect or trivial stuff like knowing how to blog, getting along naturally with kids. etc..

It is flattering, to a point. I just hope that the envy doesn't turn to jealousy. Jealousy can ruin all kinds of relationships.

honored - I have been told that and I think it is sweet and I also respect their honesty- they look up to you and it feels good to know there is something about you that someone envies - I think.

First I would like to know why?
I mean I do have things like a home and a truck but I worked hard for them like everyone else and there fore it's not to be envied.
So I would have to really wonder.

it depends on if they "envy " you because you are someone they admire or if they "envy" you because you have something that they want.
