Now county saying bullying not proved as person resigned. Massive Cover up for reasons which I cannot state - to p rotect this person. Already been threatened that if we go to papers we will suffer consequences. Told by investigatory that if successful we would open flood gates for such lot people - this is why resigned. Cannot affor another solicitor as already cost thousands. Don't want any money we just don't want this to happen to anyone else and it will if nothing is done. We do not know what to do. Yes you go to your Manager and tell him/her what you have said here i.e. that colleagues of Bully are now threatening you too. You lodge formal complaint against them and INSIST that Management deal with your complaint. You also tell them that: (a) if they fail to deal with the problem appropriately you will have no recourse but to resign and claim that you have been unfairly constructively dismissed, (b) That if there were further instances of bullying/abuse, not only would you issue legal proceedings, but that you are prepared to 'go public' with what is happening to the mass media (whether you actually mean and intend that or not). That should produce some action - many companies and employers hate bad publicity.

I have many years experience of legal and welfare rights advice up to and including representation at Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeals Tribunals - if you want more help then email me. (geoff.chaplin@btinternet.com)

It may be worth going to your local law society and having a chat with some of the advisor's there, I would also suggest that you may want to talk to one of the workers unions i.e basically to complain about your union being very unsupportive (start by contacting the socialist worker magazine they are bound to have many contacts). They may want to take your case on for you as the crux of the argument sounds like your employer has failed to protect you in your workplace. In proceedings of this nature I believe that it is the businesses responsibility to prove otherwise, (differs from criminal law)

Finally as long shot you could find out which barristers firm Cherie Blair works for, the very top barristers occasionally take on very important cases for free where the plaintiff cannot afford counsel (this could be because it is in the interests of justice or for other special reasons)

You may also want to contact charites, as anti-bullying charity's may help lobby the people and create interest in the matter and may help you progress the issue.

Also I think that the business threatening you is quite possibly illegal, you may be in for a long ride but it will be worth it i you stick it through as what you do could save thousands of people from misery and stress caused by problems such as this. You could indeed be responsible for setting a legal precedent!!

He resigned. Well if he does not already have a job the one thing that a boss can say when they are asked about a former employee is that given a chance they would not re-hire him. If you want to go the illegal route, you can warn his new boss on a anonymous basis. It might not help but at least your conscous would be clear. Trying legal action is going to cause only you problems, I would not do it. He is not worth your further attention

report to police what's going on just in case it gets nasty at least police will have it on record....or why not ask court to issue restraining order against bully disciples...don't be scared to talk to media about this you can be totally anonymous for privacy...bullying is totally unacceptable...if you do this you might be able to help others who are also being bullied at work...you have to stand for what is right...employees have the right to work in safe environment and you definitely feel threatened by them

It's pathetic. I wish all you weak, wimpish women would stay out of the workplace. Go home and do the housework. Industry, the forces, the police and all other jobs you infiltrate are being ruined by your contributions.
