I watched the game. Probably the Chelsea side were thinking exhibition game but the MLS team were there to win as if it was a final. Chelsea players looked a bit rusty, tired and the lack of communication between the veterans and the new arrivals like Shevchenko was evident but even so, the Americans played a fine match and deserved the win.

its because chelsea only practice for 1 week while the mls all stars been preparing for this game before the world cup and chelsea have some new players and not everyone knows each other well. and its also the preseason for chelsea and they got paid to play against mls all stars. chelsea doesn't care if they won, if u saw the game u know that chelsea wasn't trying

big teams never play their first team during pre-season.

Man Utd lost 4 - 0 to some latvian team last week. preseason games are about getting fitness the result does not mean anything.

maybe it shows chelsea that buying a bunch of great players wasnt necessarily a good idea...great individual players doesnt necessarily mean great teamwork.

i didnt get a chance to see the game myself so i cant really put my two cents in....but i did read that shevchenko wasnt on top of his game...but its possible that chelsea isnt the right team for him to be in.
