is cutting of at different times ,when i click connect again it connects ok .this has just happened in the last month as my connection was always present before this when i connected it staid on all the time ,could it be my phoneline as i have checked everything else.all help welcomed

This happened to me a lot, thankfully I have an old bakelite phone which makes a single ring when anyone dials out. Whenever I lost connection, I could hear something dialling out.
To cut a long story short, it was the sky-box. It had gone loopy, and was dialling out every 10 minutes.
I re-booted the sky box, and problem solved.
To make doubly sure, I unplugged it's phone connection as well. Just means that I cannot use interactive features.

this happens sometimes when u upgrade the program or browser using a beta format.

Have you checked your modem? It happened to me and I was having problems with my modem ..
