I watched Batman Begins last night and at the end they made a reference to Joker - is there going to be follow up to this?

Yes. Heath Ledger will play The Joker. The film will be called The Dark Knight and is set for a 2008 release

Yes there is. It just recently was officially announced that it will be called The Dark Knight, and Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. All the principals are returning, with Chris Nolan directing, with Nolan's brother writing the script from a story by Chris Nolan and David Goyer.
Earlier (informal) interviews had Goyer saying that he feels the second movie should deal with pursuing/capturing the Joker, and the third movie should be the Trial of the Joker, with Harvey Dent's accident.

The joker was i the first Batman film with Micheal Keaton and Jack Nicolson. That wasn't a lead into a sequel, Batman Begins was a Prequel and that was a tie in with the other films.

Yes there is a follow up I heard it from a friend who I fink heard it from the radio or telly! It will feature the Joker.

Yes there is and that's not all. Heath Ledger (of all people) is slated to play the Joker. I actually thought it was joke (no pun intended) but it's really true.
