How would you feel if you knew food you were eating was spit in because of the color of your skin?

No kidding Jesse Jackson boasted that when he worked as waiter at a restaurant in his home town in SC that he used to spit in white patrons food because he gave him a good feeling.
And for your info the restaurant was integrated....

those of you who defend his actions by words such as how would you feel if your son was killed because of the color of his skin...whites and others are just as much as blacks so it does not justify his gloating.

Ironic those who defend JJ's actions but would you still do so today? Because I asked a similar question on a different board a while back and got many, many responses from self proclaimed blacks who said they do it now to 'get back at whitey for what was done to their ancestors.'

What's sad is people who work at restaurants still spit in peoples' food. That's why I don't like to eat in the restaurant because I am afraid the waiter/waitress might get irritated with me for whatever reason and do just that. I also secretly fear that white people might spit in my food just because......... I know its weird but I don't think the world is done hating for no reason.

I'd puke. But seriously, racism exists everywhere. White people hating black people and black people hating white people. If the above happened to me, I'd just gawk at the immaturity of some people. There are all kinds of people in this world, the nice ones and the ugly ones. Some people are extremely superficial, its saddening, but thats what the world's made up of. Personally, I've never regarded skin colour. Afterall, the same colour, which is RED, runs beneath us all. The childish think otherwise of course.

That is nasty I cant believe Jesse would admit to such discrimination. MLK would not approve. Remember what he said to the little white girl? MLK had way more class, and well I just love him.

Yep, as one who truly ascribes to Martin Luther King's vision of a day when men are judged by the depth of their character and not by the color of their skin I get very frustrated by those who behave in such a racist fashion but somehow believe themselves to be justified based on the skin color of their victims.

Racism is racism no matter what your ethnic heritage.

I would sue the restaurant and the person responsible. That is not right and what makes them do it because of the color of the person they are serving. Jesse Jackson out to be hang.

Thats aweful even to think about. I think that happens anyways with people that don't like each other regardless of color of skin. I was always taught to never complain when you go out no matter what Do Not Send your Food Back! Bad move!! Just eat it as it comes!

Hard to say. I can't imagine being a black man back in the 60's. I imagine it must have felt good, granted spitting in food is little consolidation for being called "Dumb ******" 50 times a day and having to drink out of seperate water fountains.

I admire Jesse Jackson for a lot of things, but that was low. It really doesn't make him better than a white racist. I can get pretty mad at white people in general, but I can also can get pretty mad at black people too. Racism should not be tolerated no matter who you are.

that guy needs to forgive white people and move on, I didnt' do nothing to him so he shouldn't hate on me just because i'm white. ugh, so ignorant. racist people suck.
