Thanks to all the boy racers and chavs that have infected Southend, it has become the place where all the speed cameras now go for their work experience, before heading out to the real world. Southend itself is a nice enough place, and if it wasn't for a percentage of the population it would again be a charming tourist spot next to the sea. I have been quite a few times to visit my best mate, and I have never been caught by a speed camera. I am either just fortunate, know where they are, or in one instance saw the car in front (who had just sped past me) get flashed so I could slow down in time. All in all though, you probably saw the best of the town and won't need to return

It could be a crafty way to try and discourage "undesirables" from increasing their already high unsociable reputation. If people think twice about being there then the numbers may just plato. :-) Got to say Southend used to be a good place to hang out. Maybe you just had a bad day. :-)

Slow down then, and pay for your parking space.
